Kiko Casilla hasn’t been in great form as of late.
Indeed, the Spaniard has been hounded by the fanbase after poor performances, and he struggled once again on Saturday as he conceded a shot at his near post that he really should have done better with.
There’s a case to be made that the Spaniard should be dropped, but he’s started every single league game this season, and that doesn’t look like changing.
However, he may be forced out of the team soon, as his racism case could be resolved by the end of the month.

What’s been said then?
Phil Hay was hosting a Q&A session on The Athletic after United’s 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Understandably, one fan wanted to know when Casilla’s situation would be sorted, and the journalist gave a key update on the situation.
“We’re expecting his hearing to take place this month.”
Must be careful
The last thing Leeds need right now is a media circus surrounding one of their underperforming players.
If Casilla is found guilty of racism he will be handed a minimum six-game ban from the powers that be, but the club will also have to deal with the situation internally.
Fans stated a few months back that they’d want the Spaniard sacked if he was found guilty, and while that does sound like quite a drastic measure, United will have to think about how they want to handle the goalkeeper.
Ethically, it’s an absolute minefield, and whatever Leeds’ decision is it’ll come under a lot of scrutiny.
Whatever the outcome the club have to be very careful about how they handle this from a PR standpoint. Either way, if he has been found guilty of racism, there is no defending him.
In other news, Leeds may be powerless to avoid dipping even further.
